    St. Stephens October 9th 1836

    Dear Brother,
I now take this favourable opportunity of writing you a few lines, by a person that is going near Boston from St. Agnes, to let you know something concerning our Family.- We wrote you sometime ago of a revival at Coombe, at which there were about 60 that began to serve the Lord; 7 of them were of our family; besides David then at St. Austell: and by the grace of God all besides David are with their faces Zionward; so that we are all besides Henry and David, that are in England endeavouring (though not so faithful as it is our privaledge) to serve God on Earth, that we may reign with him in Heaven; and we do not forget to pray for Almond, nor you and your dear family in America, so that if we do not meet no more in time, I hope we shall meet in Heaven. Father at present is unwell, and have been for 2 months with Sciatic; he is obliged to walk on two sticks he is taking Medcine of Dr. Biddich; he is something better than when he went to him. We have a new Chapel at Coombe with a gallery in it John and his Singers are very much oblidged to you for the note book. Francis plays a flute in the Chapel and is a good understander of notes, he is a good singer. We have 3 good travelling preachers viz Kay Williams and Haley. Strawberry mine is very prosperous, there some London Gentlemen brought it. They have 2 fire Engines in sight of our house. Pologooth Adventurers are building another at Dowgas downs.- David lives in pothole, and keeps a Beer shop besides his trades an have 3 children, viz. Louisa, Anna, and Almond; and is doing very well. Richard and James are both working at Bucklers mine; near Holmbush, with John Hicks, and William Truscott; Richards former Master; to moine carpenting, James is an Apprentice with them for one year: they both live with William Truscott. Richard have bought 30 yards of land, and gave 30
