    Here lieth the body of Cosman Ertzberger of
    this town. He was a native of ye City of Basil
    in ye canton of Bern and came to England
    with ye Right Hon Heneage Earl of Winch
    elsea Embassador to Constantinople in ye
    year 1678. He lived in this town 65 years and 
    died April ye 4th 1744 aged 89y. He left issue
    surviving 3 sons and 5 daughters, 38 grandchildren
    and 21 great grand children. His eldest surviving
    son John of this town erected this stone
    in memory of his dear father ..........
    .....lieth ye body of Mary first wife of the 
    aforesaid Cosman Ertzberger by whom he had one 
    .... daughters. She died Aug 30th 1689 aged 30 years
    .......abeth his second wife by her he had .... sons 
    and 3 daughters. She died Sept 23rd 
    1752 aged 82 years
